190 SAM3 Household Filters Distributed in January 2022

Reported by Chip Kragt, Story written by Amanda Mulder

In January 2022, Water Project volunteers in the Rukumberi sector worked together, meeting four times each week, to sift and wash sand for SAM3 household filters. With that sand, the team was able to distribute 190 SAM3 household filters to families in the villages of Rugenda I and Rugenda II. The team also conducted home visits in 114 households; visited and checked 5 SAM2 community filters and 6 rain water harvest systems.
